Adderley Church of England School is situated in lovely grounds at the northern edge of the village. Our pupils come from the village and surrounding countryside within our catchment area, together with children from Market Drayton and even further afield.
We can take up to 50 children in three classes in the school, with a nursery for 12 three and four year olds. The main school is arranged in three classes: Willow Class is comprised of Nursery and Reception children, with the reception children also working closely with Chestnut Class to allow for a smooth transition. Chestnut Class is made up of Years 1 and 2 and Oak Class is comprised of Years 3,4,5 and 6.
Because of the small size of the classes we are able to be flexible and focus on each child's needs. We have a wide range of abilities within each class and are able to structure lessons to suit each group. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, including as much sport, art, craft, and music as we can manage. In addition we have our wonderful Forest School which is a fantastic resource - here the children can cover many aspects of our Curriculum in their outdoor classroom.
We have a strong Christian ethos with weekly worship being led by the local clergy both in school and at St. Peter's church in the village.
"The school plays a prominent role in the life of the church and the village, achieved through enthusiasm and commitment on the part of all those involved. Christian values underpin this friendly and caring school. Children feel happy and secure and their successes are celebrated." From the National Society Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools Report (SIAS) 6 December 2010.

We work with parents to ensure a successful beginning of their child's learning journey. It is important to us that children enjoy their learning in a caring environment.
